MORAL VALUES IN ENGLISH TEXTBOOK: “WHEN ENGLISH RINGS A BELL”

This research was aimed to know about moral values in the textbook. Textbooks were analyzed by using critical discourse analysis (CDA) data obtained through analyzing whole texts. study attempts examined which appeared English textbook "When Rings a Bell" for seventh of Junior high school or equivalent based on curriculum and presidential decree teach character education students, included 18 describe represented practice conversational It designed as content form descriptive qualitative research. The result this (1) most apparently found social awareness, curiosity, responsibility, (2) Moral conversation text implicitly message conveyed writer. it can be concluded that authors focus more such responsibility teaching students at an early age.
